DESCRIPTION: Responsible for following all safety and warehouse procedures. Works with area managers and other leads to:

Prepare documentation for domestic shipments.
Assure shipping counts match picking documents and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Determine the most economical and efficient shipping method.
Schedule inbound and outbound freight.
Load freight and maintain count is accurate of the trailer.
Develop and maintain a relationship with area sales reps of the trucking companies.
Support warehouse supervisor with sales representatives on reductions and evaluations of freight companies.
File freight claims if loss of freight occurs.
Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
Maintain good attendance and a positive attitude.
Control of Internal Orders in shipping
Complete ALL daily tasks (fill in where needed – never a job too big or small to do).
Cooperate with decision-makers and do what is needed.

EXPERIENCE:

At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Good computer aptitude.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED.

HOURS: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Contingent upon passing a drug screen
Profit-Sharing Bonus plan offered as well after 90 days IF goals achieved (could be up to 10% of salary)
